AstraZeneca Case Study Video
Project overview
Indipixels Productions was commissioned by the Asian parent organization of AstraZeneca to produce a case study video focused on asthma awareness and management. The objective was to highlight key messages around innovation and patient well-being through an authentic storytelling approach — while maintaining medical accuracy and compliance with corporate communication standards.
The project required capturing insights from medical professionals and transforming them into a visually engaging narrative. The final video blended talking-head interviews with clean graphics and typography animations, designed to make complex medical content accessible and impactful.
PRODUCTION CHALLENGES
• Coordinating Doctors’ Availability
The core participants were practicing physicians with demanding schedules. Aligning shoot dates that worked across multiple medical professionals required precise planning and flexibility from both client and production teams.
• Sensitive Subject Matter
Discussing chronic illness requires empathy and accuracy. We needed to ensure every scene respected patient privacy while still communicating the emotional and medical depth of asthma management.
Creative Strategy
• Minimalist Visual Language
We adopted a clean and modern art direction, reflecting AstraZeneca’s corporate identity. The focus remained on the doctors’ narratives, enhanced by graphics and text overlays that reinforced key discussion points.
• Compliance-Aligned Script Flow
Every interview prompt and post-production edit followed strict medical communication guidelines. We worked closely with AstraZeneca’s communication team to maintain alignment between approved messaging and visual storytelling.
Execution & Outcome
• Pre-Production (Week 1–2):
Conducted content briefings and script refinements with the client’s marketing and compliance representatives. Finalized shooting schedule around doctors’ limited time slots and prepared studio layout for a smooth one-day production.
• Production (Week 3):
Filming took place entirely in our studio using a dual-camera setup and soft lighting to produce natural yet professional visuals. Each session was directed for both comfort and efficiency, ensuring genuine delivery within the doctors’ tight availability.
• Post-Production:
The footage was carefully edited for clarity and pacing, color-graded for a clean and trustworthy tone, and enhanced with motion graphics and typography to reinforce the main messages.
• Delivery & Reception:
The completed video successfully met all compliance requirements and was praised for its clarity, tone, and visual execution. By streamlining production in a controlled studio environment, Indipixels delivered a high-quality case study video that effectively combined professionalism with visual storytelling.
