Indipixels Productions was commissioned to produce an educational video titled “Growth Foundation: Micronutrients to Support Height and Weight Gain in Children.”

The content aimed to educate parents and caregivers about the importance of essential micronutrients — such as calcium, iron, zinc, and vitamin D — in supporting children’s healthy physical development. The video featured two medical professionals sharing insights based on real clinical experience, complemented by animated graphics to highlight key talking points and illustrate biological processes in a clear, engaging way.

The goal was to create a scientifically accurate yet relatable educational resource that parents could easily understand — while adhering to strict health communication standards and brand compliance requirements.

PRODUCTION CHALLENGES

• Filming Across Two Active Clinics

The production involved filming in two separate doctors’ offices. Both clinics had to temporarily close operations during the shoot, requiring careful scheduling to minimize disruption to their patients and staff.

• Strict Health Communication Guidelines

Since the topic touched on children’s nutrition and growth, all information had to go through medical verification. Every statement, graphic, and claim required approval under compliance standards — ensuring accuracy and avoiding any unverified health claims.

• Limited Filming Window

Each doctor had only a small time slot available for recording, which required the crew to work efficiently and capture multiple setups within tight timeframes.

• Space and Lighting Constraints

Real clinic environments posed limitations for equipment placement and lighting control. The team had to adapt lighting angles and framing creatively to maintain a consistent, professional aesthetic across two locations.

Creative Strategy

• Expert-Led Storytelling

We focused on authenticity — allowing real doctors to speak directly to camera, providing trusted information grounded in medical expertise. Conversational prompts helped ensure a natural tone while keeping key points aligned with the script.

• Visual Reinforcement Through Graphics

Animated infographics and iconography were used to visualize micronutrient benefits — e.g., calcium for bone density, zinc for growth, and vitamins for immunity — making technical content easier to digest for parents.

• Minimal Disruption Production Workflow

The crew operated with a compact one-camera setup, lightweight LED lightings, and lavalier mics — allowing fast setup and teardown between clinics without affecting clinic operations.

• Compliance-Integrated Editing Flow

All visuals and narration scripts were reviewed in close collaboration with the client’s medical affairs and compliance teams, ensuring every statement met internal regulatory requirements before animation was finalized.

Execution & Outcome

• Pre-Production :

Collaborated with the client’s medical advisors to develop the script and content outline, ensuring each claim was scientifically verified. Conducted location recces to determine the best camera setups for the two clinics.

• Production :

Filming took place across two clinics in the Klang Valley, with both doctors interviewed under controlled lighting conditions. Cutaway shots and B-roll were also recorded to add visual variety. Despite tight time constraints, the shoot was completed smoothly within the day.

• Post-Production:

Edited footage was color-graded for brightness and warmth. Animated graphics and text callouts were integrated to reinforce key facts — e.g., nutrient names, growth milestones, and summary tips. Subtle sound design and ambient music gave the final video an inviting, educational tone.

• Delivery & Reception:

The final video achieved a clear balance between scientific credibility and viewer accessibility. The client praised its clarity, visual polish, and adherence to compliance standards.
It is now used in parent education programs, internal medical presentations, and social media campaigns to promote better understanding of children’s nutrition and growth.
