Fashion Commercial Video Production for Hazara Boutique
Project overview
Indipixels Productions was engaged  to produce a fashion video that elevates their brand image and showcases key pieces in real-world style settings.
The video features models wearing Hazara’s designs in scenic Putrajaya outdoor locales, capturing movement, fabric detail, and brand aesthetic. The aim: deliver a polished visual piece for social media, website, and promotional use that emphasizes style, elegance, and aspirational fashion.
PRODUCTION CHALLENGES
• Obtaining Location Permits in Putrajaya
Shooting in Putrajaya’s public or governmental precincts required special permissions. Coordinating with local authorities, applying for permits, and aligning shoot timing to meet regulatory windows introduced logistical friction.
• Half-Day Shoot Window
We had limited time (only a half day) to move between set locations, change outfits, adjust lighting, and shoot the planned sequences. This compressed schedule meant we had little room for error or redo.
• Makeup & Wardrobe in Public Setting
Because the shoot was outdoors and in public, doing outfit changes, hair/makeup touch-ups, and styling had to be done discreetly and quickly—without dedicated backstage facilities. This added pressure on the styling/makeup team to stay mobile and nimble.
Creative Strategy
• Shot Prioritization & Backup Plan
We listed high-priority hero shots first (outfit reveals, slow-motion walk, close-ups) so if time ran out, the most impactful content would be captured. Secondary shots (detail cutaways, alternate angles) were optional buffer content.
• Mobile Styling Stations & Quick Change Zones
A compact setup (pop-up tent, portable mirrors, light reflectors) was used near each location to allow rapid touch-up. The styling/makeup team traveled light with essentials to enable fast transitions.
• Fill Lighting & Reflectors
To counter natural lighting shifts, we used portable LED fill lights, reflectors, and diffusion panels to even out harsh shadows or sudden changes in sunlight. We pre-adjusted exposure settings to allow small shifts.
Execution & Outcome
• Pre-Production :
We secured location permissions in Putrajaya well in advance and finalized the shot list and timing breakdown. Scouting visits allowed us to map parking, change zones, and lighting windows.
• Production :
The team deployed early to set up, warmed up with lighting tests, and captured hero sequences first. We moved through multiple spots in Putrajaya — gardens, architectural backdrops, walkway corridors — as schedule allowed. Quick changes and touch-ups were done in portable setups. Crew worked tightly, rotating roles to speed transitions. The shoot wrapped within the allotted time, with extra buffer shots captured as time permitted.
• Post-Production:
The editing focused on rhythm, pacing, and transitions. We used subtle visual effects (cross dissolves, soft focus) to convey elegance. The color grade unified scenes across different lighting conditions while preserving the richness of fabric textures. Motion graphics introduced brand name overlays, garment names, and callouts in a sleek, minimal style.
• Delivery & Reception:
-
The final video achieved the desired balance of educational clarity and visual engagement, presenting trusted child health information in a modern, parent-friendly format.
This hybrid production approach — combining host presentation and animation — proved to be an efficient and budget-conscious solution for delivering high-quality educational content.
