RA7000A Mercury Analyzer Product Explainer Video
Project overview
Indipixels Productions was commissioned by Nippon Instruments Corporation (NIC Japan) to edit, package, and localize a product video for the RA-7000A CVAAS Mercury Analyzer, a high-precision instrument designed for mercury detection in industrial and environmental applications.
The footage was originally filmed by NIC Japan’s internal team. Our responsibility was to edit, brand, and adapt the video for global presentation — transforming the raw technical material into a cohesive corporate product film that could be used across multiple international markets.
The final deliverable showcased the RA-7000A’s advanced analytical performance, intuitive operation, and accuracy — blending scientific precision with professional visual storytelling.
PRODUCTION CHALLENGES
• Highly Technical Subject Matter
The product involved complex analytical instrumentation — including chemical terms, spectrometry processes, and system architecture. Ensuring that every scientific term, acronym, and function was accurately represented required extensive fact-checking and coordination with NIC’s technical team.
• Terminology and Language Precision
The content contained Japanese-English translations that required refinement for global comprehension. Subtle errors in terminology could alter meaning, so we had to carefully adapt the narration and captions without distorting technical intent.
• Maintaining Visual Consistency with Existing Brand Assets
NIC has a long history of product videos and documentation. The RA-7000A video had to visually and tonally match their global branding — from motion graphics to typography — ensuring seamless continuity within their corporate identity.
• Tight Review Cycle Across Time Zones
With teams based in Malaysia and Japan, feedback coordination was managed across different time zones, requiring flexibility and efficient communication to meet delivery deadlines.
• Multilingual Delivery in Seven Languages
After completing the English master version, the client requested seven additional language versions — Japanese, Spanish, Thai, Vietnamese, Portuguese, Mandarin, and Arabic.
Managing accurate translations across multiple technical vocabularies was one of the most complex aspects of the project.
Creative Strategy
• Clarity-First Storytelling
We structured the edit to guide viewers through the RA-7000A system step-by-step — from product overview, to operation, to performance benefits — ensuring both scientists and corporate stakeholders could follow effortlessly.
• Motion Graphics Integration
To enhance understanding, animated technical diagrams and callout graphics were overlaid to highlight key instrument features such as gas flow systems, detection modules, and measurement precision. These elements visually reinforced complex concepts.
• Subtitles and Technical Labeling
We refined translated voiceovers and added English technical subtitles to maintain global clarity. Key component names, measurement parameters, and performance figures were animated on-screen for emphasis.
• Multilingual AI Voiceover Integration
To fulfill the seven-language requirement efficiently, we employed AI-assisted translation and voice generation. Each language was processed through a human-assisted review to ensure technical correctness and natural speech cadence.
This solution significantly reduced cost and turnaround time while maintaining professional audio quality across all versions.
• Subtitle & Typography Localization
On-screen text, captions, and callouts were localized for each language version — carefully formatted to accommodate varying character lengths and writing directions (including right-to-left Arabic text).
• Final Packaging for Global Use
We refined translated voiceovers and added English technical subtitles to maintain global clarity. Key component names, measurement parameters, and performance figures were animated on-screen for emphasis.
Execution & Outcome
• Pre-Production :
Reviewed all technical notes, references, and terminologies from NIC Japan. Created a unified terminology list to maintain consistency across languages.
• Production :
Edited the English master version, color-graded the footage for uniformity, and integrated motion graphics and data callouts. Once the main version was approved, translation workflows for seven languages began simultaneously.
• Post-Production:
AI voiceovers were generated and refined under supervision to ensure clarity, accuracy, and pronunciation quality. Motion graphics and subtitles were localized accordingly, followed by a master quality check for all eight versions.
• Delivery & Reception:
The final video was delivered in English + seven localized versions, each tailored for global distribution. The client praised the final output for its technical accuracy, brand alignment, and multilingual accessibility.
The project now serves as part of NIC Japan’s international marketing toolkit, used in global trade exhibitions, product launches, and training presentations worldwide.
